Birleşik Krallık İstanbul Başkonsolosu Kenan Poleo’nun görev süresinin sona ermesi nedeniyle iş dünyası buluşması 

Türkiye’de İngiliz Ticaret Odası - BCCT, görev süresi sona eren Birleşik Krallık İstanbul Başkonsolosu Kenan Poleo onuruna geçtiğimiz haftalarda bir veda yemeği düzenledi. BCCT Başkanı Chris Gaunt OBE, Gülten Süzer Gaunt ve Mustafa Süzer ev sahipliğinde Ritz Carlton Hotel’de düzenlenen etkinlikte BCCT Yönetim Kurulu Üyeleri yer aldı.

Başkan Chris Gaunt, Başkonsolosun görev süresi boyunca Birleşik Krallık ile Türkiye arasındaki ekonomik ve ticari ilişkilerin güçlenmesine önemli katkılarda bulunduğunu ifade etti. Özellikle karşılıklı yatırım ortamının geliştirilmesi, iş dünyası diyaloğunun artırılması ve sürdürülebilir iş birliklerinin teşvik edilmesi konularında yürütülen çalışmalara dikkat çeken Gaunt, “Sayın Başkonsolos, görev süresi boyunca sadece diplomatik alanda değil, iş dünyası ile kurduğu yakın ve yapıcı iletişim sayesinde de iki ülke arasındaki ilişkilerin derinleşmesine önemli katkılar sağlamıştır” dedi.

BCCT ile Başkonsolosluk arasındaki yakın iş birliğinin memnuniyet verici olduğunu belirten Gaunt, ortak etkinlikler, ticaret heyetleri ve sektörel buluşmalar aracılığıyla somut çıktılar elde edildiğini vurguladı. Bu süreçte kurulan güçlü diyaloğun, önümüzdeki dönemde de iki ülke arasındaki ticari ilişkilerin gelişimine zemin hazırlayacağını ifade etti.

Birleşik Krallık Başkonsolosu Kenan Poleo, İstanbul’daki görev süresinin kendisi için son derece verimli ve anlamlı geçtiğini belirterek, Türkiye ile Birleşik Krallık arasındaki çok boyutlu ilişkilerin daha da ileri taşınması yönünde önemli adımlar atıldığını söyledi. Türkiye’de İngiliz Ticaret Odası ile yürütülen yakın iş birliğinin bu süreçte önemli bir rol oynadığını dile getiren Kenan Poleo, iş dünyasının iki ülke arasındaki stratejik ortaklığın temel dinamiklerinden biri olduğunu ifade etti.

Business Community Gathering Held in Honor of UK Consul General in Istanbul, Kenan Poleo, Upon Completion of His Term

The British Chamber of Commerce in Türkiye (BCCT) hosted a farewell luncheon in honor of UK Consul General in Istanbul, Kenan Poleo, marking the conclusion of his term of office. The event, held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel under the auspices of BCCT Chair Chris Gaunt OBE, Gülten Süzer Gaunt, and Mustafa Süzer, brought together members of the BCCT Board of Directors.

In his remarks, Chris Gaunt highlighted the Consul General’s significant contributions to strengthening economic and commercial relations between the United Kingdom and Türkiye throughout his tenure. He underscored the progress achieved in enhancing the bilateral investment climate, fostering business dialogue, and promoting sustainable partnerships. “During his term, the Consul General has not only demonstrated diplomatic leadership but has also played a pivotal role in deepening bilateral relations through his close and constructive engagement with the business community,” Gaunt stated.

Emphasizing the productive cooperation between BCCT and the Consulate General, Gaunt noted that joint events, trade delegations, and sector-focused gatherings had delivered tangible outcomes. He added that the strong dialogue established during this period would continue to support the further development of bilateral trade relations in the years ahead.

British Consul General Kenan Poleo described his tenure in Istanbul as both productive and meaningful, noting that important steps had been taken to advance the multifaceted relationship between the United Kingdom and Türkiye. He acknowledged the key role played by the British Chamber of Commerce through its close collaboration and stressed that the business community remains one of the core pillars of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The event, which brought together prominent representatives of the business community, also highlighted the Consul General’s contributions to enhancing commercial and diplomatic ties between the two nations during his time in office.
